Click on Paste HTML to embed in website. Then you’ll see some html code that you need to copy and paste into your website page.

If you’d like to change the size of the map, or adjust other details, then click on Customize and preview embedded map, and follow the instructions on the screen. At the bottom of that page, you’ll see a block that has the altered html code for you to copy.

  • Press <Ctrl+A> to select all and then <Ctrl+C> to copy it to the clipboard.
  • Go to the page/post where you’d like to insert the map.
  • Now here comes the advanced bit … click on the HTML button on the top right
  • The press <Ctrl+V> to paste the html code into the page.
  • Then click on Wysiwyg and make changes to the rest of the page.
  • Click on Save Draft and then on Preview.
  • When you’re happy with the page, click on Publish.

Tip: it might be easier to copy and past the html code first before making changes to the rest of the page, otherwise you need to find the spot within the html code view, which can look rather daunting. Using wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) is easier than editing in html view.

How can I show my company name on the map?

You need to add your business to Google Maps (follow the instructions on the screen). Once your business has been added, then you can type in the business name and use that as the location. Add the map using the instructions shown above.

  • Another tip: sometimes when you switch between html and wysiwyg modes, the iframe for the map can disappear, which results in the map not being shown anymore. In that case, you would need to copy and paste the code again.
