In 2007 we created a website for Protea Bathrooms using their hosted online system. It was relatively limited in functionality but suitable for their needs at the time.

Over the years, their business has outgrown the available functionality. They specifically wanted a photo gallery and we recommended additional pages for their website visitors, and for better visibility in the search engines. Read the rest »

Shortly after we redesigned their Dutch website (see Portfolio: Lensvelt Houten Vloeren), Sandra and Rudolf Lensvelt emigrated to Sweden. As soon as they were settled into their new surroundings, Sandra asked us to create a new website with the same look-and-feel as their Dutch site, only this time it had to be in Swedish.

Our first priority was to find a hosting company that spoke both Swedish and English, and then after Sandra had registered their website, we installed the content management system and database and replicated the design. Värmlands Parkett Slipnings Service is live. Read the rest »

Janet and Rob Cuthbertson own and run Leopard Walk Lodge, a bush lodge situated in a private wildlife reserve called Suni-Ridge. After building their Suni-Ridge website and spending a week with them in February 2008, we discussed online marketing options for their lodge. Read the rest »

Passie voor Pellets is a Dutch website that sells eco-friendly pellet burner fireplaces. Our client wanted their website to reflect the environment friendly nature of their burners, and that it was elegant but remained warm and friendly.  Read the rest »

Lensvelt Houten Vloeren is a wood floor sanding company in the Netherlands. Sandra Lensvelt asked us to design the website based on the photograph of a whale skeleton in a museum where they’d sanded the floor. They also wanted a very clean design without any fuss. Read the rest »

David Koning is a game ranger in South Africa. His website is intended to share his bush experiences and some of his amazing photographs. The close encounters with the dangerous big five are harrowing and interesting to read. We designed his site to reflect his experiences. Read the rest »

Tom Juch runs mijnsandwich.nl, which offers lunches and refreshments to businesses in the area. Tom advised of his required colour scheme and sent us the famous lunch photograph to incorporate into his design. We created a skin for his webshop and he maintains all the products himself. Jawa Meubel is a Dutch website that sells handcrafted Teak furniture. Husband-and-wife team, Astrid and Taufik personally select and import the pieces from Indonesia. Being a carpenter, Taufik ensures that the quality of each piece of furniture is up to standard. The carving detail on the old Teak is beautiful. Their website needed to reflect this wonderful quality product properly. Read the rest »

A colleague alerted us to a review that had been written in a Dutch trade magazine called Mobilia Vloeren about our flooring website, Floorstyle.nl. Our goal is to build user-friendly websites, but to hear this from an independent source … wow, that’s priceless.

Gert van der Kolk is a flooring installer based in Hattem, the Netherlands. He requested us to build him a website similar to our own flooring website, Floorstyle. His goal was to attract clients in the area and encourage them to visit his showroom.

During the web design consultation, he requested that the styling be based on his business colours, which are reflected on his van. So we took a couple of photographs, and used that to create the bold design in accordance with Gert’s wishes. Read the rest »

Protea Bathrooms is a unique showroom for luxury bathrooms in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. The main purpose of the website is to get people to visit the showroom, with a professional and luxurious feeling. Read the rest »

Janet Cuthbertson contacted us in March 2007 with a request to promote Leopard Walk Lodge, a private lodge that is situated within the Suni-Ridge Wildlife Reserve. Included in the request was a brief history of the work that they do concerning wildlife and environmental conservation, as well as with the local Zulu communities.

South Africa born and raised, I was so inspired by their work, that we offered to build a pro-bono website for the non-profit organisation. Read the rest »

Past and Current Project

In 2007 we created the enormous website for wildlife photographer, Yvonne van der Mey, that has over 2000 pages in Dutch and English, using static .htm pages. It was a mammoth task that involved a lot of team work, and her website is very successful.

Because technology has moved on, and to make it easier for Yvonne to add her own photographs, we’ve decided to migrate this website onto a content mangement system. Read the rest »

In line with the business motto, the Keep it Simple Personalised Financial Services website (kispfs.co.za) was created in 2007 with a simple two pages as an online version of a visitor card.

The aim of the website  is tell potential clients about the bookkeeping and payroll services that Sandra Koning offers to small to medium businesses based in Cape Town, South Africa. Read the rest »
