Where do we begin?
Before we can start with the design phase, you’ll need to have a certain amount of answers ready.
Answers to questions like, “Who are your clients?” or “How is your product or service different?”
You might be wondering why that is relevant? (and that’s a great question!)
The starter kit sounds great, but what’s included? What isn’t included? How long will it take? What will I need to do?
Not only should your website reflect your business, but it should also reflect the products and services that you’re offering.
Your website should also be appealing to your customers. Certain types of people react positively/negatively to certain styles and themes.
So if you don’t know who your intended clients are, or which niche your products and services fit into, then designing an effective customer interface is nigh on impossible. You’re simply stabbing around in the dark.

5 Steps to Success
Once you sign up with us, and have paid a 50% deposit, you’ll start getting e-mails with clear instructions and guidance for each of the following phases of success.
- Researching customers, competitors, products and services
- Planning your online business strategy
- Implementing your business website plan
- Marketing your business website
- Analysing your success
Step 1 involves a fair amount of “homework” for you to do beforehand. We can only really discuss your website’s design, colouring and layout properly in Step 2.
You’ll get helpful emails explaining different things to look our for and what to research. We’ll also offer you insight into the different design options, explaining why one type of design element would work better with some customers than other design elements.
Part of the research includes you looking at all kinds of websites for ideas and to discover what your personal preferences are. You’ll send us the URL’s of your favourite websites and tell us what it is about those sites that appeal to you. Naturally you can include some websites that you don’t like, to help us know what to avoid.
Based on your research and intuitive business judgement, you’ll be able to select the design elements for your website and give us a clear indication of the look and feel that you’d like your website to have.
Web Design
Quality takes time,
Perfection takes even longer!
Naturally we’ll use our experience to design a great looking website, but at the end of the day, it remains your choice.
And what a choice there is. Just about anything is possible … except Flash or animation … sorry, that’s not included in the starter kit.
To help you appreciate the choice possibilities and their effects, you’ll get an email with several pictures of one website. Each picture will show a different layout and/or colour choice to show you how a slight change can have a big impact on the overall feel.
Then after researching your customers, competition, products and services and following our design guidelines, you’ll be able to tell us what your design preferences are.
We’ll design a skin for your website i.e. the colours, layout, logo, header, menu, footer, etc. that ties in beautifully with your website’s goals.
Each website is made uniquely to our client’s specifications.
- You’re welcome to be picky about your design colours and choices.
- And you’re welcome to change your mind a gazillion times.
Please note however, to keep your costs down, that our starter kit only allows for a certain amount of hours that we can spend designing and building a good quality website. If you are seeking perfection, then it will take much longer, for which an hourly rate is applied.
- So the more details we get from you, the more accurately we’ll be able to design the website according to your specs.
- If you follow the instructions in Step 2, you’ll have no problem in telling us exactly what you want.
However, if you’d prefer to have a more intense design consultation/implementation, we’ll gladly arrange this on an hourly basis (EUR 40,00 per hour).
10-Page Website
Nobody knows your website (or business) better than you do. Therefore nobody would be able to add the content better than you could. So, we ask for 10 pages to start you off and to create the layout for your website. You then learn how to use the system and take over from here, adding new content and making changes as and when it suits you! And because we’re spending more time designing and less time adding content, we can offer professional web design for this fabulous price!
You can choose which pages you’d like us to set up, but we do recommend having the following basic pages:
- Home page (your online “shop window” or “reception”)
- Products / Services page (what you offer)
- Photo Gallery (optional but highly recommended)
- About Us (telling people about you or your business)
- Contact (we’ll include a contact form)
Future Website Changes
Because our websites are built on a Content Management System (CMS), you can at any time, log into the online control panel for your website and update the wording, add/remove photographs and add new pages and posts. As one of our clients, you’ll get access to our special training website with descriptive step-by-step photos and articles that show you how to use the system optimally.
Integrating old/new website pages
For Upgrades Only - Every page gets created from scratch on the CMS. To take advantage of the traffic you’re already getting, we can adjust the existing pages on your “old website” to point to the “new website”. Depending on the number of existing pages you have, this can be very time consuming. Integrating old and new pages are not included in this special offer. We’ll gladly provide you with a quote to do so.
