Mobilia Review of Floorstyle.nl
A colleague alerted us to a review that had been written in a Dutch trade magazine called Mobilia Vloeren about our flooring website,
Floorstyle.nl. Our goal is to build user-friendly websites, but to hear this from an independent source … wow, that’s priceless.
If you click on the thumbnail to the right, you’ll see a scanned copy of the magazine page in pdf format (614 kb) and below is an English translation. As the web designer and website owner, we are very pleased with the review! Read the rest of this entry »
Professional vs. Self-Build Websites
Why get a professionally-built website?
Not every website needs to be built by a professional, like personal family websites or casual hobby websites. And nowadays there are many websites and/or hosting packages that offer free website builders. Most are very easy to use, so go ahead (you can read more at category: “Self-Build“). However, if you’re serious about your website, then it should look professional.
The biggest reason for having your website designed by a professional, is to have a successful website that fulfils its unique purpose and achieves its goals.
Professional web design also saves you time (getting to grips with everything can be very time consuming) and gives you peace of mind (knowing that your website has had the best possible start). Our client’s websites are successful! They are found by search engines, and they make it easy for people to get what they’re looking for.
Portfolio: Van der Kolk Hattem (NL)
Gert van der Kolk is a flooring installer based in Hattem, the Netherlands. He requested us to build him a website similar to our own flooring website, Floorstyle. His goal was to attract clients in the area and encourage them to visit his showroom.
During the web design consultation, he requested that the styling be based on his business colours, which are reflected on his van. So we took a couple of photographs, and used that to create the bold design in accordance with Gert’s wishes. Read the rest of this entry »
Free Photo or Video Website
Free hosting for your photos & videos
Hobby photographers and videographers don’t need to have a website professionally built. Websites like YouTube and Flickr make it very easy to share photographs and videos with the world. As an example, you can see our videos on YouTube and photographs on Flickr.
If the photographer or videographer wants to be taken seriously as a professional, then he or she should consider having a tailor-made website designed to suit their style and personality.
Take a look at our special offer – it’s a small fee for a professional portfolio that will expand with you as you grow (we build websites on a content management system).
Tips for Designing Your Website
Relevant Results
We can find endless amounts of information on the Internet about anything e.g. finding solutions to problems, or desires, and what it would cost. But everyone who’s spent time surfing will know the frustrations too. Despite the best efforts of various search engines, we still get unindated by irrelevant results. Aside from the shady-type of links you get, many website owners don’t optimise their information properly, making it difficult for people to find what they’re looking for. Portfolio: Suni-Ridge Org ZA

Included in the request was a brief history of the work that they do concerning wildlife and environmental conservation, as well as with the local Zulu communities.
